Approximately 15,000 people from around the world took to the streets of New York this past Sunday, May 2nd. Calling on world leaders at the Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference, which will continue throughout the month of May, citizens of all ages demanded for the abolition of nuclear weapons, and a peaceful, just, and sustainable world.
Bang-USA, alongside with our international partners Bang-Europe, Students International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, as well as new friends and old (Think Outside the Bomb, Students PSR, Pax Christi, Religions for Peace, NGO Committee for Disarmament) co-hosted several events-- from youth lobbying and messaging workshops at Riverside Church, to a post-conference throw-down at Havana Central.
United at last! After a year of emails and conference calls, Bang-USA and Bang-Europe finally met in-person for a collaborative workshop on youth lobbying, messaging, and outreach.

I had a great time taking photos over the weekend, capturing and saving the images of true international solidarity. Soon we'll be posting the footage for DisarmTV, and share with you further the vibrant colors and audio sensations of the march and rally. Sounds a little cheesy, but this weekend was inspiring, hopeful, and near magical. The best part is that NPT has just begun! We definitely look forward to working more with our friends toward nuclear weapons abolition and a secure world, throughout the month, and onward!
That being said, let's hear it for multilateral steps toward something beautiful:

The Indians are positive people they look at life with the outlook that they are one with the ground and love all that the earth consist of ccsp because they feel that it is a part of them becasue it has been with them since the beginning of time. Americans just look at the world as a place that we live and take in all of its resources with out even a thanks to where it came from. Indians and Americans are bothe different racess of people who think in terms of the long mcp term goal of personal enlightenment with the world and other human beings. The Native Americans are perfect role models for what an ideal shoule do in life and how one should behave towards the world because indians are natural people who believe in the inner good of all living and non scjp living object. This just proves the point about how for Americans can be willing to go to be one with the earth as Native Americans have come to be. Surely it has taken many years to take on this position of being one with the spiritual earth and physical earth becasue this is not just somthing that comes over night. The all knowing subject is one that comes through age and microsoft certification wisdom is stored through age along with the love of all things. Earth is a place to be loved and shared with everyone.
